Originally known as McGuire’s Punt in the heady gold rush days of the 1850’s, Shepparton has now blossomed from a tiny slab hut, with only a horse drawn punt to cross the Goulburn River, to a major regional centre with every aspect of business, education, culture and community being well catered for.
From the earliest of times Shepparton and its surroundings have been home to a strong and proud indigenous population. Their quiet existence was broken by the arrival of a handful of early squatters in 1839 and the subsequent breaking up those huge squatting runs by the hundreds of selectors that followed from the 1860’s. From this period on, generation after generation of immigrants began arriving in the Goulburn Valley from all parts the world, drawn by the allure of its rich soils and the promise of a better future.
That trend has continued right up to the present day, with Shepparton’s breadth of cultural diversity being unique to country Victoria. Projected population growth estimates, for our immediate area, provide real confidence that our economy will continue to strengthen and that the demand for all forms of real estate in the Shepparton, Kialla and Mooroopna areas will steadily rise.
With almost three decades of real estate sales experience behind him, it is Mark McNamara’s personal goal to build a skilled and mutually supporting Sales Team, that can deliver the optimal range of choices for prospective sellers, plus a rock solid Property Management Team, that can provide a 5 star investment experience for our landlords.
